Vjushkovia

Name: Vjushkovia.
Phonetic: V-yush-ko-ve-ah.
Named By: Friedrich von Huene‭ ‬-‭ ‬1960.
Classification: Chordata,‭ ‬Reptilia,‭ ‬Archosauromorpha,‭ ‬Archosauriformes,‭ ‬Erythrosuchidae.
Species: V.‭ ‬triplocostata‭ (‬type‭)‬.
Diet: Carnivore.
Size: About‭ ‬3‭ ‬meters long.
Known locations: Russia‭ ‬-‭ ‬Petropavlovka Formation.
Time period: Olenekian of the Triassic.
Fossil representation: Skull and post cranial remains.

       A significantly larger relative to the more famous Euparkeria,‭ ‬Vjushkovia was a mid-sized‭ ‬Triassic aged archosauromorph that hunted in ecosystems in what is now Russia.‭ ‬One former species of Vjushkovia named V.‭ ‬sinensia has now been renamed as Youngosuchus.
