Size

Skull‭ ‬15‭ ‬centimetres long.‭ ‬Roughly estimated at about‭ ‬1.5‭ ‬meters long,‭ ‬though this is of a subadult.‭ ‬Fully grown adults were slightly a little bit larger.

Known locations

China‭ ‬-‭ ‬Nanxiong Formation.

Time Period

Maastrichtian of the Cretaceous.

Fossil representation

Partial skull and partial post cranial skeletal remains.

In Depth

       Jiangxisaurus is a genus of oviraptorid dinosaur that lived in China during the late Cretaceous.‭ ‬Other oviraptorid dinosaurs known from the Nanxiong Formation where the holotype specimen of Jiangxisaurus was found include Banji,‭ ‬Ganzhousaurus,‭ ‬Huanansaurus and Nankangia.
