In Depth

Jinyunpelta is a genus of ankylosaurid dinosaur that lived in Asia around the early/late Cretaceous boundary.‭ ‬The presence of Jinyunpelta at that time suggests that it was among the first ankylosaurid dinosaur genera to have evolved a tail club.
