       Another small amphibian from the Carboniferous period of Scotland,‭ ‬Adelospondylus is only known by a skull and jaws.‭ ‬The lower jaw is noted as being quite deep,‭ ‬but is otherwise not greatly special.‭ ‬Adelospondylus may have been similar to Adelogyrinus.
