In Depth
Alocodon is considered to be highly dubious genus of dinosaur since its description is based upon only teeth. In the past the teeth of Alocodon have been interpreted as being both a hypsilophodontid and a thyreophoran, two very different kinds of ornithischian dinosaurs. This is why the genus is considered a nomen dubium, it is simply impossible to identify any further remains to the genus upon only teeth.
