       Alocodon is considered to be highly dubious genus of dinosaur since its description is based upon only teeth.‭ ‬In the past the teeth of Alocodon have been interpreted as being both a hypsilophodontid and a thyreophoran,‭ ‬two very different kinds of ornithischian dinosaurs.‭ ‬This is why the genus is considered a nomen dubium,‭ ‬it is simply impossible to identify any further remains to the genus upon only teeth.
